HARNESS THE AMAZING POWER OF FOOD TO SUPPORT YOUR HEALTH GOALS.
A FOCUS ON YOU
Ellen Spinner is a registered Nutritional Therapist based in East Lothian. My number one goal is to enhance the health, nutrition, and happiness of my clients.
Nutritional Therapy applies knowledge from the growing field of nutrition science to support the health of individual clients. There are a huge variety of reasons why people use the services of a nutritional therapist, with some of the most common including:
Support for energy levels and problems with sleep.
Support for digestive system complaints.
Support for moving to a low-carb or ketogenic way of eating.
Support for mental wellbeing.
Support for athletic performance.
Support for healthy ageing.
In a consultation, we'll talk about your health history, lifestyle, current food patterns and health goals so that I can provide a set of bespoke recommendations covering food, lifestyle and supplements if required.
Whether you have a specific health condition or concern, an athletic goal, or simply a desire to optimise your health; nutritional therapy gives you the tools to support your body every day with enjoyable food.
Consultations are held in Dunbar and Musselburgh.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
Advice tailored for your life.
1. HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE AND FOOD DIARY
Once a booking is made, I'll forward you a detailed health questionnaire and a 3 day food diary. These then need to be completed and returned to me at least 2 days before your appointment. Doing this thoroughly is a great investment of your time and is important to ensure that you get the most out of this process.
2. THE CONSULTATION
An initial consultation lasts for 90 minutes and we will talk through your health goals, health status, and food habits to provide you with a structured set of recommendations. These will cover general eating principles, recipes and food ideas, lifestyle recommendations and in some cases, supplement recommendations. These will be documented and forwarded to you via email within 3 working days of your appointment.
3. ACTION AND FOLLOW-UP
As you implement your nutrition plan, it's normal for questions to arise and a 15 minute phone call with me a couple of weeks after the initial consultation is included in the fee. A one hour, follow-up appointment is recommended after 6 weeks. This will review your progress and look at specific successes and challenges. I will then provide you with an updated plan that takes into account all of these factors.
Food is not just calories, it is information. It talks to your DNA and tells it what to do.
The most powerful tool to change your health, environment and entire world is your fork.
